Dubliners - The Childhood, Adolescence, Adulthood & Public Life Stories, James Joyce Centre, Dublin

6th June - 31st December 2022

My Dubliners series of paintings is a correspondence with James Joyce's original text. Struck by how the themes posed by Joyce are still relevant today, I reconstituted his stories with an imagined visual narrative presented within a 21st century Dublin context. The images are often infused with autobiographical references as I deviate from the original stories at will. The images address only what I see as the core universal question or theme posed in Joyce work. I am especially pleased that this exhibition will be on show durring this years Bloomsday Festival celebrating the 100 anniversary of publication of James Joyce's Ulysses.
